On Prayer and Fasting

We'll begin with a brief overiew of prayer surveying the different words for "prayer" in the original lanugages of the Bible and their meaning. Then we'll explore three prayers: The Ignatian Examen, The Jesus Prayer, and The Surrender Novena. We'll then discuss the spiritual way of fasting and practical suggestions for combining and incorporating the above prayers with fasting into our spiritual habits.

In order to make this accessible to everyone, this is a "pay what you want event". To help cover costs associated with the event, a suggested price is $40. If you want to pay more, you can. If you want to pay less, you can. If you are in a season where you prefer to just show up and be present, that is perfectly okay too and I am happy you are joining.
